Our KLA board is taking the final steps in approving our new, updated Aquatic Plant Study and Plan for our Kangaroo Lake. The former plan was conducted in 2016-2018. As you know, in 2023, we partnered with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) and Onterra, LLC (our lake ecology firm), and with the support of donations from members, to update our assessment and management plan for aquatic plant life in our lake. We have a draft of the new management plan here: Draft Plan. The WDNR has reviewed our draft and given their approval. We now want to give all of our members one last chance to comment on the plan. Todd Hanke, from Onterra, LLC, presented the detailed plan at our annual membership meeting on August 9th.
