Who Can Join?

If you own property within one mile of Kangaroo Lake, you’re eligible to become a member of the Kangaroo Lake Association, Inc.

A few quick notes on eligibility:

• If the property is jointly owned, only one person is eligible to vote.

• If you co-own a fraction of a property, only one co-owner may vote.

• Timeshare owners are not eligible for membership.

• Property owners may designate a family member to share membership, but again, only one vote per property is allowed.

Why Join the KLA?

The most important reason to join? You’re becoming part of something bigger than yourself.

The KLA’s mission is simple yet powerful:

“To preserve and protect Kangaroo Lake and its surroundings, and to enhance the water quality, fishery, boating safety, and natural beauty of the lake—for today and for future generations.”

We each have a part to play, but together, we can do more. As members, we become stewards of the lake—not owners, but caretakers. Through shared knowledge, community effort, and a common goal, we’ve learned from experts, volunteers, and one another how best to care for this special place.

Whether you’re a lifelong resident or new to the area, if you love the lake, joining KLA is one of the best ways to protect it.
